Help us obtain Trojan Pride License Plates in the District of Columbia! |

The Washington, DC Chapter is also driving the initiative to obtain Trojan Pride Tags within the District of Columbia. The process is simple, but we need YOUR help to make it a reality.
Here is how you can help:
- To get started we need to obtain signatures from at least twenty-five (25) interested alumni who are residents of Washington, DC. Those interested must hold a valid DC driver's license and own a DC registered vehicle. (In the Maryland tradition, these Tags will highlight the Trojan logo on the left side followed by a four-digit number that is immediately preceded by a stacked three-letter code).
- Once the 25 signatures have been obtained, the Chapter will then submit a request to Washington, DC's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and work with them to get the license plate design approved. (Note: As was the case with the Trojan Tags for Maryland, the Chapter will again coordinate with the University's Development Office on the license plate design prior to submitting it to DMV).
- Once we receive all necessary approvals, DMV applications will then be sent to those who expressed interest.
- Please note: The cost of the license plate has not yet been determined. However, aside from the initial cost, these Tags will require a yearly display fee to maintain in addition to the regular car registration fee in accordance with DMV policy.
